Lung Cancer Screening

Early detection through low-dose CT screening for eligible patients

About This Service

Lung cancer screening with low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) can detect lung cancer at an early, more treatable stage. Dr. Hsieh evaluates whether you meet the screening criteria, refers you for the LDCT scan, and reviews the results with you. If any abnormalities are found, we coordinate follow-up care including additional imaging, referrals, or biopsy as needed.

Who Should Consider This Service

Adults aged 50 to 80 who have a 20 pack-year or greater smoking history and currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years. A pack-year is calculated by multiplying the number of packs smoked per day by the number of years smoked. Early detection through screening can find lung cancer when it is small and most treatable, before symptoms develop. If you are unsure whether you qualify, we can assess your eligibility during a consultation.
